I WANT TO FIGHT GHANA FOOTBALL

 I believed most football loving Ghanainas will be confused why a young man of my age wants to fight Ghana football. After  Gold Coast gained independence from Great Britain and switches name to Ghana in 1957 ,football in Ghana also took another direction by joining the international football associations. The Ghana Amateur Football Association (GAFA) was also founded in 1957, got affiliated to FIFA and CAF in 1958 .Then  the football revolution took place where Mr. Ohene-Djan was appointed as the general secretary of the Ghana Amateur Football Associatio which later became the Ghana Football Association (GFA). Mr Ohene-Djan held the association from 1957 to 1960 and in 1960 he handed over to Mr. H.P. Nyametei who also served from 1960m to 1966. after Mr. H.P. Nyametei, 19 other people came to the helm affairs of the association before Lawyer Kwesi Nyantakyi took over in 2005 till date.

HOOLIGANISM IN GHANA FOOTBALL

       A  lay man will ask, what is hooliganism?Hooliganism refers to an act of noisy or violent in a public places.Eg football hooligans.
      The speed at which hooliganism is creeping into our football this days is very serious and rendering thegame more of footwar than a sporting activity.The tragedy that occured at the then Accra Sports Stadium now Ohene Djan in which one hundred and twenty-six 126 lots their lives on May 9th is still fresh in our memory. What are some of the reasons behind this upsurge in hooliganism and what can be done to combat it.
      To me as a youth of the 21st century,who is much into football, i see the practise of hooliganism as an act of absence of law and order among football fans during matches.Football fans take the laws into their own hands and some of them being under the influence of alchool and other forms of drugs, hooliganism has become a characteristics of an ordinary day of football.
