The Accra-based side defeated
Danbort FC 2-0 in the final play-off contest at the Obuasi Len Clay
stadium to record their third straight victory in the three-series to pick the
GPL slot for zone three.
Inter allies
took the final step to the elite ranks, confirming their place in the next
season’s premier league after gaining promotion on Monday.
Inter Allies needed a single point from their last division
one promotion league to end their long wait for qualification for their debut in the top flight football in
Ghana.
But the Accra-based side defeated Danbort FC 2-0 in the final play-off
contest at the Len Clay stadium to record their third straight win the
three-game series.
Illiasu Fuseini and Patrick Bortey scored both goals for
Inter Allies. In the other promotion game, Nania FC pulled their first win,
defeating Okwawu united 2-0 at the Baba Yara stadium in Kumasi.
