Soccer FIFA Ballon d'Or Ribery, as Sneijder

Winner of five titles in 2013, Franck Ribery was not elected FIFA Ballon d'Or. As Wesley Sneijder in 2010, the French suffered from the new voting system.

As Wesley Sneijder in 2010, Franck Ribery won the treble Champions League - National League -. Championship in 2013 as the Dutch , who in addition was a finalist of the World, the French did not win the FIFA Ballon d'Or. This Jan. 13, 2014, he was beaten by Cristiano Ronaldo, who has not won anything (as Luis Figo in 2000) but scored 69 goals in a calendar year.
The old model put forward the performance of a player who symbolized the success of a team. Controversy, which has often accompanied the presentation of the trophy, swells since the change of voting system decided jointly by France Football and FIFA. In 2010 as in 2013, Sneijder and Ribery were elected under the old rules (exclusive participation of journalists selected by France Football). Thus, the French would have obtained 522 points according to the former nomenclature (397 only for CR7). Since the merger with the FIFA World Player, breeders and captains of all national teams are consulted. And everything has changed, to the chagrin of Ribery. The old model had included allowing Sammer or Cannavaro won the Golden Ball. The latter then put forward the performance of a player who symbolized the success of a team. The ranking was capital. This is no longer the case.
Worn by countless goals, but also a unique support Real Madrid and Portugal, Cristiano Ronaldo has been well served by the wounds of Lionel Messi in the fall. The first two Portuguese Golden Ball has also benefited from the reopening of votes for the media behind Franck Ribéry. "This is the first time it happens, it is not normal and it disadvantage me," was then cursed the French. Before the ceremony, the former Marseille had dropped on RTL that he preferred "to win the World Cup with France team that won this trophy." He can now focus on this objective.
