Despite
losing 0-1 at home to their arch rivals Asante Kotoko last Sunday,
Accra Hearts of Oak recorded the highest gross revenue ever from ticket
sales in a home game, footy-Ghana.com can confirm exclusively.
The
match-day 2 Super clash which was a sell-out had 37,500 printed match
tickets with prices pegged at GH¢30, GH¢20, GH¢15, GH¢7 and GH¢5 saw the
Phobians generate a gross GH¢237,000 ; an amount club officials
describe to footy-Ghana.com as ‘the highest gross ever recorded in a
Hearts-Kotoko match played at the Accra Sports Stadium.’
Hearts
of Oak are yet to confirm the net amount realized after deductions of
tax components together with other charges due are made by the relevant
bodies.
Footy-Ghana understands that the
Phobians are entitled to net not less than 51% of the gross proceeds
[about GH¢120,870.00] from last Sunday’s game.
