According to reports, if Neymar finishes in the top three of the Ballon d’Or in the next five years, Barcelona will pay an additional €2-million to his former club Santos.
The Brazilian star finished 13th in the 2012 Ballon d’Or election, and 10th in 2011, although he will hope of a higher spot this year, after a transfer to Barcelona and a stellar Confederations Cup campaign.
Neymar’s deal to Barcelona was worth €57-million, but Santos received just €9.35-million of that.
The 21-year-old’s father and other involved parties received a €40-million cut in commission, with the remaining €7,65-million being split between two companies that owned part of his registration, Teisa Group and DIS
