HEARTS GET BUSY AGAIN...

Accra Hearts of Oak resumed training at the ATTC Park after a week break. Coach Duncan gave his boys the respite after a grueling week that saw his team notch fabulous wins against T.P Mazembe and Medeama FC to win the Presidential Cup.

The Congolese side were invited alongside Enugu Rangers of Nigeria to participate in the annual tournament organized in honour of Ghana's president and which was also used to commemorate the country's 53rd Republic Day this year. The players who reported for training include Mahatma Otoo, Thomas Abbey, Emmanuel Ansong, Abrah Aziz, Owusu Bempah, Tetteh Luggard, Stephen Tetteh, Yakubu Musah, Isaac Mensah, Moro Abubakar, Joseph Mugre, Robin Gnagne, Clement Ashitey, Romeo Agban and others making up to 17 in all.

Notable absentees are Ollenu Ashitey, Osei Bonsu, Esme Mends, Gilbert Fiamenyo and others

The resumption marks the beginning of preparations for two impending high profile matches. Hearts will play Mamelodi Sundowns in a friendly at the Accra Sports Stadium on July 17 and round up their season with a SWAG Cup showdown against Medeama FC on July 12st.

The South African club has confirmed that it will hold part of its Pre-Season training camp in Ghana from the 15th to the 24th of July and have requested to play the Phobians during their ten-day stay.

Hearts have agreed to engage the South Africans after receiving their request. A letter to signed by Mamelodi's Administrative Manager, Ms. Belinda Ndlovu indicated that the Hearts encounter will be one of three friendly matches that the South African side has lined up.
