CAN THE “RED ARMY” OF GHANA FOOTBALL MAKE THE DOUBLE THIS SEASON ?





 After successfully defending the Glo Premier League, which was won last season, Kumasi Asante Kotoko has set up another crucial finals with Medeama S.C. in the MTN FA cup at the Ohene  Djan Stadium on 14th July, 2013


Kotoko on Sunday 23rd June, beat Amidaus FC at their own back yard at the Tema Stadium. The tema based team held Kotoko to a goalless draw in the first fourty five minutes before Micheal Akuffo scored in the second half to help kotoko win their twenty second(22) league title with fifty six(56) points, three(3)points ahead of their rivals, Berekum Chelsea who lost their last game two(2)goals to one(1) to Heart Of Lions at Kpando.

Masud Didi Dramani and his red army will on 14th July at the Ohene Djan Stadium will be hoping to make history by lifting the MTN FA cup. But Medeama S.C. who also out on the race to clinch their first league title, will also be hoping to lift the prestigious FA cup to give them the chance to take part in the Orange CAF confederation cup next season.

Didi Dramani has made history as one of the coaches to win the league in their first season with a club in Ghana. Didi took over from current Black Stars assistant coach Maxwell Konadu, who lead  Kotoko to win their 21st title in the 2011/2012 league season.
